Thinline 17" archtops are rare indeed; the premium priced Gibson Byrdland and the very scarce L-5CT ("George Gobel") are virtually the only predecessors. The PRS SC-J is not only thinner than the Byrdland, but the body is almost equal in length to a Super 400. This stunning guitar is one of just 200 produced for US distribution, out of a one-time-only run of only 300 worldwide.

Finished in a warm golden PRS "Vintage Natural" lacquer, the instrument is in pristine 100% original condition, and is supplied with its original hang tags and factory paperwork. The top and back are carved of solid tiger flame maple, with a small interior block anchoring the bridge to enhance stability and sustain. The neck profile has the traditional PRS "Wide-Fat" carve, a gentle, full D profile reminiscent of the classic 50's L-5 and Super 400 models. Action is smooth and low over the solid Macassar ebony fingerboard, with a full length 25 1/2" scale fingerboard for increased snap and definition.
